With specialized certification in Obesity Medicine and extensive experience in both military and civilian healthcare settings, Shane brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and compassionate care to his patients.
Military Service & Clinical Background
Shane's philosophy of serving others started as an enlisted member of the United States Navy serving aboard the USS John C. Stennis. His healthcare journey and commitment to serving, includes distinguished service as a military nurse practitioner during at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, where he provided internal medicine care to service members and their families. This military background instilled the discipline, precision, and commitment that now defines Palm Health's approach to patient care.
His exceptional clinical experience includes working with the heart transplant team at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, where he participated in managing some of medicine's most complex cases. This experience reinforced his belief that optimal healthcare requires both advanced medical knowledge and individualized attention. Cardiac and preventative care are cornerstones of Shane's practice here at Palm Health
Specialized Expertise in Weight Management

Recognizing the profound impact of weight on overall health, Shane pursued specialized certification in Obesity Medicine. This was also motivated by Shane's very own weight loss journey, losing over 120 pounds. This advanced training has enabled him to develop comprehensive weight management protocols that have achieved remarkable results—including a 100% success rate for patients who fully engage with Palm Health's weight loss programs.
Shane's approach integrates evidence-based practices with personalized interventions that address the underlying factors affecting health and wellness. Many healthcare providers simply say "diet and exercise" and he believes obesity is much more complicated than this.
This whole-person methodology forms the foundation of Palm Health's P.A.L.M. framework (Personalized Advanced Longevity Medicine™). It influences all aspect of Shane's care including advanced peptides, male and female hormone replacement therapy, and regenerative medicine.
Community Commitment
As a dedicated member of the Jacksonville community, Shane is committed to improving health outcomes beyond the walls of Palm Health. His connection to the local area including serving as an adjunct professor at the University of North Florida (UNF) informs his understanding of the specific health challenges facing Jacksonville residents. This understanding and desire to help those losing access to healthcare, is what led him to create his direct primary care (DPC) practice during the height of the pandemic.
Patients consistently praise Shane's unique combination of military precision, clinical expertise, and genuine compassion. His commitment to transformative healthcare has established him as a trusted wellness authority in the Jacksonville area. Which is evident by the "hands on" approach with specialty and referral partners serving his patients.
