Frequently Asked Questions

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

Direct Primary Care is a membership-based healthcare model where patients pay a flat monthly fee for unlimited access to primary care services. By removing insurance from the equation, DPC allows for longer, more personalized visits, same-day or next-day appointments, and direct communication with your provider via phone, text, or email. We don't charge co-pays or deductibles, save on your healthcare costs with transparent costs and wholesale costs on generic medications.

Insurance and Payment Questions

Do you accept insurance?

No, Palm Health does not bill or accept insurance. Instead, we operate on a simple membership model that eliminates the complexities of insurance. Effectively making insurance much better by filling in the gaps in care. This allows us to provide a higher level of care that insurance does not allow. However, you can still use your insurance for services outside of our clinic, such as specialist visits, hospitalizations, imaging, diagnostics, or medications.

Won’t my insurance pay for this?

Insurance typically covers traditional fee-for-service care but often comes with high deductibles, copays, and limited time with your provider. With DPC, you get unlimited access to personalized care without any hidden costs. Many patients find that combining DPC with a high-deductible insurance plan for emergencies saves money while improving their overall healthcare experience.

Do I still need health insurance if I join Palm Health?

Yes, catastrophic plans are recommended. While Palm Health provides comprehensive primary care services, we recommend having insurance for catastrophic events like hospitalizations or surgeries.
